Greater Life of Tifton Leadership

Pastor Ricky & Angie Revels
Founders & Lead Pastors, Greater Life of Tifton

Pastor Ricky Revels was born and raised in Tifton, Georgia, while his wife, Angie, was born in Thomas County. Their journey together began when they met at a gospel sing in Tifton, and that shared faith has been the foundation of their lives ever since. Married for 38 years, they have three sons and six grandchildren, who have been the driving force behind their dedication to ministry, leadership, and living as godly examples.

Pastor Revels and Angie’s commitment to serving God began in their teenage years, where they were actively involved in various ministries—teaching home Bible studies, playing instruments, singing, and leading worship. In 1989, they stepped into full-time ministry as assistant pastors in Thomasville, Georgia. Just two years later, they felt the call to plant a church in Fitzgerald, Georgia, a work that has stood strong for over 30 years. Their ministry journey has been shaped by unwavering prayer and faith, sustaining them through the challenges of church planting and pastoring.

After much prayer and supplication, Pastor Revels felt it was time to leave Fitzgerald and return to his hometown of Tifton to start a new church. In 2005, he and Angie founded what is now Greater Life of Tifton, continuing their mission of reaching souls for Christ. Through years of dedication and growth, the church has flourished, and in 2015, the congregation moved to its current campus, where they continue to serve the Tifton community with passion and purpose.

Pastor Revels is an ordained minister with the United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI) for 36 years and has served on the Georgia District North American Missions Board for over a decade. In this role, he has been instrumental in guiding and mentoring home missionary pastors as they establish new churches across the state. His wisdom and experience have helped shape the direction of many new works, offering support, encouragement, and strategic guidance to young ministers. Even today, he remains a trusted voice and mentor to pastors navigating the challenges of church leadership.

Angie Revels has served in numerous ministry roles, from mentoring women and teaching Sunday school to leading worship. She has been a pillar of strength and support in their ministry, playing a crucial role in helping Pastor Revels fulfill his calling. Known for her love for people, Angie is warm, approachable, and passionate about helping others grow in their faith. Her heart for ministry is evident in her ability to connect with and uplift those around her.

Beyond their pastoral leadership, Pastor Ricky Revels and Angie see their greatest accomplishment as the many souls they have led to Christ—people who are still living for God today. Their mission has always been to lead by example, instilling strong values of prayer, fasting, and dedication to family in their children and grandchildren. They believe that by prioritizing their own spiritual disciplines, they can better lead others to Christ.

Life Beyond Ministry

In addition to pastoring, Pastor Revels has also been a bivocational minister, working in construction over the years. His experience in the trade has given him a strong work ethic and a practical approach to problem-solving, both in ministry and everyday life. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting and fishing—two hobbies that allow him to relax and connect with God’s creation. Whether in the woods or on the water, Pastor Revels finds peace in nature and values the time spent outdoors.

A Vision for Greater Life of Tifton

The vision for Greater Life of Tifton is clear: Reaching people. Discipling people. Sending people. Pastor Revels and Angie are committed to building a church that not only welcomes the lost but equips and empowers believers to fulfill their God-given purpose. Their ultimate goal is to see Tifton transformed by the gospel, ensuring that as many people as possible have the opportunity to make heaven their home.

With over 37 years of ministry behind them, Pastor Ricky Revels and Angie Revels continue to lead with passion, faith, and a deep love for people. Their legacy is one of unwavering dedication to God, their family, and the countless lives they have touched through their ministry.
